Sonam Singh

She began teaching dance at the Bollywood Dance and Cultural Immersion summer camps in the India Community Centre. Soon after, she moved on to assisting at the Mona Khan Company and was excited when she was brought on board as a primary instructor! She enjoys teaching as it allows her to share her passion for dance with people of all ages. She loves to see her students grow, not just as dancers, but as people as well by using dance as a medium.
She is passionate about dance and believes that it is a way of life. Each day brings new surprises and challenges and it requires continuous motivation. Dance brings light into her life; she would be incomplete without it.
Outside the studio, she can be found studying rigorously at Ohlone College, pursuing a major in Biology. She used to play a number of sports, was a dedicated soccer player in the Fremont Soccer League for five years and a member of her school’s Track and Field team for two years. She is deeply interested in music and learnt to play the keyboard and piano, and took Classical vocal lessons with Rita Sai.
She loves travelling, movie marathons (with loads of chocolate!), reading novels, hanging out with friends and family, and experiencing new adventures (she would love to go bungee jumping and jet skiing one day!).
